Rui Chenggang is a former Chinese news anchor and journalist for China's state-run broadcaster China Central Television. A fluent English-speaker, Rui is known for his frequent appearances at international economic conferences and conducting interviews with business and political leaders worldwide, sometimes in a controversial, nationalistic style. He was detained for investigation in July 2014 on suspicion of taking bribes, and was reportedly released in November 2020.
