Rufus King was an American lawyer and academic administrator, who served as the 5th president of the University of Cincinnati from 1860 until 1869 and as dean of the Cincinnati Law School. He also served as president of a convention that met to write a new constitution for the state of Ohio, and authored a history of the state of Ohio.
