text: The Royal Guard Command (Korean: 어영청) was a military camp of the Five Army Camps established in the central region of late Joseon Korea, which served as the royal guard for the king. After the Injo Coup, King Injo of Joseon who advocated a hardline policy against the Later Jin, selected and trained the Hwapogun as part of his plan to personally conquer the Later Jin.
