Roy Skiles Kelley. Following his graduation from United States Military Academy, he was assigned to the Army Corps of Engineers, and joined the 358th Engineer Service Regiment. He landed at Omaha Beach on June 9, 1944, and spent the remainder of World War II in the European theater. He was awarded several military awards, including the Legion of Merit with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Distinguished Service Medal.
