text: The Rositsa is a river in central northern Bulgaria, the most important tributary of the Yantra. It is 148.5 kilometres (92 mi) long and has a drainage basin of 2,260 square kilometres (873 sq mi). Its ancient name was Lyginus. The river has its source in the Central Balkan Mountains between Shipka Pass to the east and Botev Peak to the west. It flows north until Sevlievo, after which it gradually turns east-northeast until emptying into the Yantra. There is a dam on the river that is 10–15 kilo
