The Romani, also spelled Romany or Rromani, colloquially known as the Roma, are an Indo-Aryan ethnic group who traditionally lived a nomadic, itinerant lifestyle. The first recorded Romani people in Denmark came from Scotland in the year 1505. Danish police drove out most Roma in Denmark by the 1939.
