The Diocese of Natchez was a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church; it was the predecessor of the Diocese of Jackson. It served all of Mississippi until the state was split into two dioceses, Jackson and Biloxi. The former cathedral for the Diocese of Natchez in Natchez, Mississippi is now a minor basilica. The diocese was under the patronage of Our Lady of Sorrows.
