Robert Scharfe was born on 26 November 1953 and was the Chief Executive Officer of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, a post he held from 18 April 2012 to 21 April 2021. He is chairman of the board of Fundsquare, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, and a member of the board of FundsDLT. In addition, he is a member of the board of directors of the Federation of European Securities Exchanges and the chairman of the nomination committee of the World Federation of Exchanges.
