Robert Jones was a Welsh landowner and politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1625 and 1629. Jones was the son of Sir William Jones and his wife Margaret Griffith, daughter of Griffith ap John Griffith of Kevenamulch, Caernarvonshire. His father was a judge and MP. Robert himself studied law as a student at Lincoln's Inn in 1617. He married by 1641 Anne West, by whom he had one daughter.
