Ring-goal, a sport for two persons played on a ground, or indoor rink, 78 ft (24 m) long by 10 ft (3.0 m) wide, with a ring of split cane about 7.5 in. in diameter and weighing about 3.5 oz., which is propelled in the air by means of two sticks, resembling miniature billiard-cues, which are held inside the ring. The goals consist of two uprights 8 ft (2.4 m). high and 10 ft (3.0 m). apart, from which a net is stretched on an incline, so that its base will be a few feet behind the goal-line, and
