Rekownica is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Jedwabno, within Szczytno County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south-east of Jedwabno, 15 km (9 mi) south-west of Szczytno, and 40 km (25 mi) south-east of the regional capital Olsztyn. The village was created by a fisherman named Eugen Gross or Grosz, who on 12 March 1710 received 16 łans and 8 morgen of land from a local forest master Rudolf Wilhelm von Lüderitz. The vi
