text: Reginald Hankey was an English first-class cricketer, active from 1853 to 1860. Born at Marylebone, London, Hankey was educated at Harrow School, where he captained the First XI in 1850, and at Balliol College, Oxford. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace roundarm bowler who was mainly associated with Oxford University, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Surrey, and made 18 known appearances in first-class matches. He played for the Gentlemen in the Gentlemen v Players series.
