Reginald "Reggie" Cornell was a Thoroughbred horse racing trainer who competed in his native Canada before working for many years in the United States. Born in Oakville, Ontario, Reggie Cornell grew up in Niagara Falls, Ontario. At age sixteen he began working at racetracks as a hot walker and three years later in 1941became a licensed Canadian trainer.
