Reading Southern railway station is a former railway station in Reading, Berkshire, England, located to the south of Reading General station on the Great Western main line. It was opened in 1855 by the South Eastern Railway's route from Redhill, connecting Reading with south coast towns like Brighton and Dover. It also became the terminus of the outer suburban Waterloo to Reading line from London Waterloo station. The station closed to passengers in 1965 when services were diverted to the former
