Ravindra Pinge was a Marathi writer. His family hailed from Upale-Prindavan area near Kharepatan, in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, India. Though he grew up in Mumbai, his writings depicted his love for Konkan. He retired as an official at All India Radio. Both his parents were teachers, and he claimed that it created in him a soft corner for the profession of teachers. He had a son named Sambaprasad Pinge and a daughter named Chitra Pinge. He was loosely associated with Socialist Party while
