The founder, CEO and majority owner of Steward Health Care since 2010, and previously CEO of its predecessor Caritas Christi Health Care starting in 2008, de la Torre also served as the first head of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's CardioVascular Institute from 2007 to 2008.
