Róbert Banai is a Hungarian middle-distance runner. As a junior Banai became double gold medallist in the 1500 metres and steeplechase at the 1984 Gymnasiade, and competed in the junior race at the 1985 and 1986 World Cross Country Championships. He finished seventh at the 1990 European Indoor Championships and competed at the 1989 World Indoor Championships, the 1989 European Indoor Championships and the 1991 World Indoor Championships without reaching the final.
