Colonel Quintus Quincy Quigley was a lawyer in Kentucky and founder of the city of Paducah. He kept a journal for nearly fifty years which has since been published as The Life and Times of Quintus Quincy Quigley. His house "Angles" was subsequently owned by US Vice President Alben W. Barkley and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
