Punjabi cinema or Pollywood consists of the Punjabi-language film industry centered around the Indian state of Punjab, and based in Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Mohali. It is also known informly sometimes as Punjwood. The cinema of Punjab has its beginnings with the 1928 production of Daughters of Today, the earliest feature film produced in the region in Lahore.
