Princes Street is a 1825 landscape painting by the Scottish artist Alexander Nasmyth. It is also known by the longer title Princes Street with the Commencement of the Building of the Royal Institution. It shows a view of Princes Street in Edinburgh during the Regency era. The Royal Instituion is shown under construction on the bottom right of the painting. It offers a panoramic view of Edinburgh with the New Town on the left and the Old Town on the right.
