Pogar is an Urban-type settlement in Bryansk Oblast, Russia. It is the administrative center of Pogarsky District. Population: 9,484 (2021 Census); 9,990 (2010 Russian census); 11,471 (2002 Census); 9,959 (1989 Soviet census). Located on Sudost River, a tributary of the Desna River, 7 km from the Pogar railway station and 128 km south-west of Bryansk, the administrative center of the region.
