text: Podalia lanocrispa is a moth of the family Megalopygidae. It was described by E. Dukinfield Jones in 1912. It is found in Brazil. The wingspan is about 40 mm. The forewings are ochreous white with the costa and inner margin ochreous and the veins light brown. There is a diffused dark discocellular spot and a postmedial brown band followed by a lighter shade, excurved from vein 9 to vein 2, where it is slightly bent outwards and straight to vein lb. There are five wavy black fasciae from the base
