text: Plectophila electella is a moth in the family Xyloryctidae. It was described by Francis Walker in 1864. It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia. The wingspan is 15–16 mm. The forewings are silvery white with bright deep ochreous-brown markings, partially margined with light ochreous-yellowish scales and with a straight narrow fascia from the base of the costa to one-fourth of the inner margin.
