text: Pir Sadardin was a fourteenth-century Shia Ismaili Da'i who founded the Satpanth Tariqa and taught tolerance, perennialism and syncretism of all religions, putting a particular emphasis on the syncretism of Islam and Hinduism. He was the son and successor of Pir Shihab ad-Din, and was one of the most prominent Ismaili authors of the 14th century. He was a contemporary of the Shia Ismaili Nizari Imam Muhammad ibn Islam Shah. Born in Persia, Sadardin later travelled to South Asia, settled in Sindh
