Pietrapertosa is a town and comune in the province of Potenza, in the Southern Italian region of Basilicata. It is bounded by the comuni of Accettura, Albano di Lucania, Campomaggiore, Castelmezzano, Cirigliano, Corleto Perticara, Gorgoglione and Laurenzana. It is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia. In 2019, CNN included Pietrapertosa among "20 of the most beautiful villages in Italy". It was the lifelong home of Lucia Lauria Vigna, the oldest person in Italy for almost two and a half years. Pie
