The systematic name of this enzyme class is N-[(R)-4'-phosphopantothenoyl]-L-cysteine carboxy-lyase (pantotheine-4'-phosphate-forming). This enzyme participates in coenzyme A (CoA) biosynthesis from pantothenic acid.
