text: Philip Thomas Fudge was an educator, businessman, civil servant and politician in Newfoundland. He represented Hermitage in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly from 1928 to 1932 as a Liberal. The son of Philip Fudge and Mary Petite, he was born in Pass Island, Fortune Bay and was educated there, in St. John's and in Boston.
