Peter Stilbs is an emeritus professor in physical chemistry at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. Stilbs earned a master's degree in chemical engineering from the Lund Institute of Technology at Lund University in 1969, and a Ph.D. in physical chemistry in 1974. He served as a research assistant in physical chemistry at Uppsala University from 1976 to 1982, and as an assistant professor from 1982 to 1986.
