Peter "Stretch" Shiels, is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s and 2000s. He played for the Penrith, Western Suburbs, Western Reds, the Newcastle Knights in Australia and St. Helens in the Super League as a second-row and as a prop. As Super League V champions, St. Helens played against 2000 NRL Premiers, the Brisbane Broncos in the 2001 World Club Challenge. Shiels played at second-row in St. Helens' victory.
