text: Pelerin Palace is a Belle Époque style hotel built in 1906 in Le Mont-Pèlerin, Vaud, Switzerland overlooking Lake Geneva. The opening of the Vevey–Chardonne–Mont Pèlerin funicular railway in 1900 facilitated the development of the location as a resort. Pelerin Palace was the third major hotel built in the locality following Hotel Belvedere (1902) and the Grand Hotel (1904). It was built on the initiative of Henri Fatio, a Geneva-based financier who attracted investors based in Vevey. The origina
