Paul Lacoste, was a Canadian lawyer, professor, and academic administrator. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1943 and a Master of Arts degree in 1946 from the Université de Montréal. From 1946 to 1947, he attended the University of Chicago and in 1948 received a Ph.D. from the University of Paris. In 1960, he received his Bachelor of Civil Law from Université de Montréal. He joined the faculty of the Université de Montréal in 1946 and taught philosophy until 198
