Patrick Simson or Sympson (1628–1715) was a Church of Scotland minister who served as Moderator of the General Assembly in 1695. He was Dean of the Faculty of Divinity at Glasgow University. At the time of his death in 1715 he was the acknowledged Father of the Church. Robert Wodrow described him as "the last of the antediluvian Presbyterian ministers in this church".
