The Park Fire is an active wildfire in Butte and Tehama counties in Northern California. It was ignited on July 24 by an alleged act of arson in the city of Chico's Bidwell Park in Butte County. The fire defied initial suppression efforts and grew rapidly over the following days, burning into the Ishi Wilderness and the Lassen National Forest.
