title: Object-Oriented Fortran
text: Object-Oriented Fortran was an object-oriented extension of Fortran produced by Absoft Corporation as part of their series of Fortran compilers. In Object-Oriented Fortran, data items could be grouped into objects, which can be instantiated and executed in parallel. It was available for Sun, Iris, iPSC, and nCUBE, but is no longer supported. Object-oriented features are now fully integrated into standard Fortran, since Fortran 2003.
