Norm Pope was an Australian rugby league player. A Balmain junior, Pope was a prolific goal-kicking fullback and spent his playing career with Brisbane club Valleys from 1950 to 1964, aside from one season in Rockhampton. He represented Australia in the 3rd Test win over New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground in 1956, kicking five goals. In the 1957 season, Pope amassed a league record 330-points for Valleys. He served as coach of both Valleys and Wests. Pope was named fullback in the Brisbane
