Norberto Reinoso was a Dominican militant and hero of the Dominican Restoration War. A native of Puerto Plata, he worked as a woodpecker. He later became a dedicated officer of the restoration forces, he took up arms since the action began in Puerto Plata. The night of August 27, 1863, he landed there a powerful column led by General Primo de Rivera, sent to reinforce from Cuba to aid the Spanish forces on the island.
