Noksen is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Nagaland state in India. It is part of Tuensang district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes. It was the first assembly seat in India, where Voter-verified paper audit trail (VVPAT) system was first used with EVMs in a by-poll in September 2013. In October 2013, Supreme Court of India gave a landmark judgement directing Election Commission of India to use VVPAT system for vote validation in phased manner
