Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American engineer, futurist, and inventor. He is known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. Born and raised in the village of Smiljan then part of the Austrian Empire. Nikola Tesla never lived in Serbia, but he did visit Belgrade once, in 1892.
