It is located along the Haapamäki–Seinäjoki railway, and its neighboring stations are Pihlajavesi in the south and Eläinpuisto-Zoo in the north. The Finnish Heritage Agency has proclaimed the Myllymäki station as a built cultural environment of national significance.
