Myanmar–Sri Lanka relations are the bilateral relations between Myanmar and Sri Lanka. The two countries have had relations for centuries, sharing many historical, cultural and religious ties as historically Theravada Buddhist countries. Myanmar was one of a few countries that Sri Lanka established resident embassies soon after independence. Myanmar, in turn, has an embassy in Colombo. The two countries have had long historic ties, stemming from the establishment of Sri Lankan Theravada Buddhism
