Mujibur Rahman is a retired three-star rank Lieutenant general in the Bangladesh Army who served as General Officer Commanding of Army Training and Doctrine Command. Prior to that, he was QMG at Army Headquarters. Prior he was serving as director general of the Special Security Force. He came to limelight in 2016, as the Operational Commander who carried out Operation Thunderbolt during the Holey Artisan Attack. He is also the recipient of Bangla Academy Literary Award 2023.
