Mothonica periapta is a moth in the family Depressariidae. It was described by Walsingham in 1912. It is found in Costa Rica. The wingspan is about 19 mm. The forewings are bone-ochreous, sprinkled with brownish fuscous scales, which are chiefly distributed in horse-shoe form around the outer end of the cell, reverting to the costa and dorsum at or before the middle and tending to radiate outward on the lines of the neuration.
