text: The Moselkern stele is a Merovingian stone cross dating to the 7th century. The stele was excavated from the cemetery of Moselkern, Germany in 1800. The upper cross of the stele show a crucified Christ surrounded by crosses, thought to be one of the oldest crucifixion monuments north of the Alps.
