Mohammed Rikan Hadid al-Halbousi is an Iraqi politician who served as Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Iraq from 15 September 2018 to 14 November 2023. Al Halbousi submitted his resignation from this role on 26 September 2022 due to the political tension at the time. This resignation was however rejected by the parliament on 28 September 2022 and he continued to serve in this position until 14 November 2023, when the Federal Supreme Court of Iraq ordered Halbousi's dismissal from par
