text: There have been two baronetcies created for members of the Modyford family, both in the Baronetage of England. Both creations are extinct. The Modyford Baronetcy, of London, was created in the Baronetage of England on 16 February 1661 for James Modyford, Deputy-governor of Jamaica. The title became extinct on the death of the second Baronet in 1678. The Modyford Baronetcy, of Lincoln's Inn, was created in the Baronetage of England on 1 March 1664 for Thomas Modyford, Governor of Jamaica from 166
