Mladen Janković was a Serbian doctor, who after arriving from the Habsburg territory to the Principality of Serbia, from 1856 to 1865 he became a district physician in Kruševac, Jagodina, Kragujevac, and from 1865 a physician in Belgrade and director of the first psychiatric institution in the Principality of Serbia called Dom za Uma sišavše, in which he organized his work according to modern European standards.
