Mitchell Guttman is a molecular biologist. He works at the California Institute of Technology, where he is a professor in the Division of Biology and Biological Engineering and a Robertson Investigator of the New York Stem Cell Foundation. He also serves as the associate director of the UCLA-Caltech Medical Scientist Training Program. He is known for the study of lncRNAs, among them regulating the plasticity of embryonic stem cells and controlling how stem cells become any other kind of cell.
