There have been two Baronetcies created for persons with the surname Mitchell, one in the Baronetage of Great Britain and one in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. The Mitchell Baronetcy, of West Shore in Zetland, was created in the Baronetage of Great Britain on 19 June 1724 for John Mitchell. The title was generally thought to have become extinct or dormant on the death of the third Baronet in 1783.
