Kotlikoff is an American biomedical researcher, academic leader, veterinarian, former provost of Cornell University from 2015 to 2024, and interim president of Cornell University since July 2024. Since 1986, his academic research on cardiovascular biology, optogenetics, mouse genetics, and ion channel function has been funded by the National Institutes of Health.
