Michael Conrad Bird is an economics lecturer, and was a Republican member of the Colorado State Senate from 1987 to 1995. Bird graduated from Western Maryland College in 1961, and gained his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He joined Colorado College in 1968, and was a Fulbright Lecturer in Mexico in 1966 through 1968, and Peru in 1971.
